I was born December 5th, 1960 in a small Quebec town called La Patrie. The town is located one hour east of Sherbrooke and 15 minutes from the US border. I'm the second child of a family of 6 kids. I have studied in my hometown until grade 9. For grades 10 and 11, I studied at Sherbrooke in a private school: le Collège du Mont Sainte Anne which is run by the Mariannhill Missionaries. I followed with grade 12 in a school still run by the Marianhill Missionaries called the Séminaire Saint Augustin and located a few minutes west of Quebec city. I also did my two years of CEGEP at that institution. From there, I proceeded to the University of Sherbrooke to undertake a bachelor in Electrical Engineering. As my 1st year was completing, I realized that university was not meeting my expectations and desires so I left the institution to pursue a career with the military. I joined in September 1980 and became an Air Navigator. After 20 years of service, I left the military in the summer of 2000. During my military career, I did a lot of computer programming and became hooked on it. So upon retiring, I took an intensive Web/E-Commerce diploma program to document the skills I have acquired over the years. I am now employed as an Information Technology Specialist with the National Sciences and Egineering Research Council (NSERC) in Ottawa. I have been married since 1987 to Linda Allards, a girl from the Mirabel region. I have 3 children: Shanie, born 1989, Eric born 1993, and Maryse, born 1995.

Je suis né le 5 décembre 1960 à La Patrie, un petit village du Québec près de Sherbrooke. Je suis le 2ième d'une famille de six enfants. J'ai fait mes études primaires à La Patrie jusqu'en Secondaire II. Pour le secondaire III et IV, j'ai étudié au Collège des Missionaires de Marianhill à Sherbrooke. J'ai ensuite poursuivi mon secondaire V et mes deux ans de CEGEP au Collège Saint Augustin de Cap Rouge. Je suis ensuite entré à l'université de Sherbrooke en génie électrique. En 1980, j'ai quitté l'université pour commencer une carrière militaire en tant que navigateur aérien. Après 20 ans de service, j'ai pris ma retraîte à l'été 2000. Lors de mes années de service, j'ai découvert la puce de l'informatique et je m'y suis attaché. Alors ayant pris ma retraîte, j'ai décidé de suivre un diplôme en technologie de web et commerce électronique afin de documenter les connaissances que j'ai acquises dans ce domaine lors de mon service militaire. Je suis maintenant employé comme spécialiste en technologie informatique avec le Conseil de recherche en science naturelles et génie (CRSNG) à Ottawa. Je suis marié depuis 1987 avec Linda Allard, une fille originaire de la région de Mirabel. J'ai 3 enfants: Shanie, 1989, Eric,  1993, et Maryse, 1995.
